A printed trade advertisement (8 1/2"x 11") for the proposed Hammer film "Chaka Zulu" c'1974 with Chantrell illustration.

Hammer would frequently commission Chantrell to create pre-production trade ads of this kind. Some projects would make it to the big screen but "Chaka zulu" remains one of Hammer's un-made films so memorabilia relating to this is scarce. In keeping with the usual format a box containing the script "THIS IS A HAMMER FILM" is on the upper left but in this case Chantrell has over-stickered this with the annotation "THIS IS NOT A..", a witty if wistful comment on the project not coming to fruition!
