What's Up Nurse Chantrell Quad Poster 1977

One of Chantrell's most recognisable posters. Chantrell's ability to portray the female form to alluring effect comes to the fore here. "What's Up Nurse" was a typical 1970's British sex-comedy. The film featured regular performers in X-rated films such as Felicity Devonshire, Monika Ringwald, Julia Bond etc but alongside were a number of regulars from "mainstream" TV/Film such as John Le Mesurier, Graham Stark, Jack Douglas, Peter Butterworth, Bill Pertwee etc. Though it is easy to deride films such as this, they proved to be commercial at a time when the British film industry was mostly on it's knees (see Simon Sheridan's "Keeping The British End Up" 2001 for more information about the genre). The film was entirely shot in & around Southend & it is tempting to say that the best thing about the entire film was Chantrell's poster!

The poster shown here has been machine-folded but remains in EX condition. Like everything from the Chantrell site, it will come with written provenance testifying that it was the personal property of Tom Chantrell.
