This is the second of 2 "roughs" that Chantrell completed for this Swediish sex-comedy & like many Chantrell roughs of the period was illustrated on tracing paper, this one measuring 13 1/2"x 18". This second version shows the introduction of the word "Swedish" into the title. Though starring some British actresses (Sue Longhurst & Diana Dors), the film was Swedish made & the UK distributors were obviously attracted to the notion of Sweden, anything with a Nordic connotation in 70's Britain conjuring up an image of unabandoned eroticism!  As the Quad poster shows (image courtesy of www.moviepostermem.com ) several refinements were made in Chantrell's finished artwork, the "3-D" banner being moved to the left & the burning candle being replaced with a feather duster (presumably Chantrell felt this added to the humorous tone). Chantrell was paid £350 for the roughs & his finished artwork & the print run for the poster was only 750 (W).
