Large b/w photo (10 3/4"x 15") of a Chantrell concept artwork for the Hammer film "The Viking Queen" (1966).

Whilst we are aware of an earlier & very different Chantrell composition for "The Viking Queen" Quad poster (https://www.chantrellposter.com/Viking-Queen-Chantrell-Quad-Poster-Hammer-Artwork-1967-Original/1239) the photo here shows an artwork that bears a very close resemblance to the printed Quad poster (see image courtesy of www.moviepostermem.com - https://www.moviepostermem.com/The-Viking-Queen-Poster/62309). However, on the finished artwork the figures to bottom left & right have been changed which indicates that Chantrell produced at least two highly finished concepts before his final artwork.

A fascinating piece of Chantrell/Hammer memorabilia.
