Chantrell's original painted artwork (21"x 27 1/2") for the 1971 western "A Town Called Bastard". Starring Robert Shaw, Telly Savalas, Stella Stevens & Martin Landau the film was set during the Mexican Revolution in 1895. The artwork presents excellent images of the leads, the allure of sex & violence & a typical "integration" of the film title into the fabric of the artwork design. Lots of trademark Chantrell features here & this is the finished art for the Quad poster.

The artwork is all painted directly onto the artboard with the exception of the film title which has been painted onto a separate piece of card. The lettering is similarly on overlaying pieces of card.
