Chantrell finished painted artwork (24"x 31 1/2") for the UK Quad cinema poster for the Elvis Presley film "Tickle Me" (1965).This was one of several Elvis Presley Quad titles that Chantrell illustrated ("Love Me Tender" 1956, "Wild In The Country" 1961 etc). An inventive design, Chantrell delivers colour, action, pretty girls & not one but two images of "The King"!
For an idea of relative value we sold the Quad artwork for "Wild in The Country" in 2012 on the TV show "Four Rooms" for £5,001.
The artwork is mostly gouache to artboard with cast/credits info arranged on printed strips. The artboard has been mounted onto black card as this is how this item was presented framed in Chantrell's home. Chantrell has signed the artwork in pencil.
