The original Chantrell artwork for the Hamlyn book cover of  "A Pictorial History of Thriller Films" by James Smith dating from the late 1970's. The artwork consists of a montage of photographs applied to artboard interspersed with Chantrell painted bullet holes & measures 15"x 30". At the bottom rim are written instructions for the printer. The artwork is sold with a similar sized photograph of the artwork which was also used in the production of the cover design. During his freelance period in the 1970's-80's, Chantrell undertook a wide range of work, including a number of book cover illustrations for Hamlyns.
