Finished Chantrell painted artwork (18"x 28") for the UK video release of "The Thief Of Bagdad" (1940). This Oscar-winning film was released on video by Carlton in 2000 but Chantrell would have completed this commission during the late 1980's-early 1990's just prior to his retirement. See image of the video cover below. A charming piece of work with a great colour scheme and sense of oriental mysticism.

The artwork remains in excellent condition. The painting is believed to be watercolour and gouache on "Daler" artboard, the artwork with a protective paper overlay.
