Scarce Poster for this 1960 drama set in the Australian outback & boasting a stellar cast including Robert Mitchum, Deborah Kerr, Peter Ustinov, Glynis Johns etc. This is certainly one of Chantrell's more spectacular creations, the heat & epic grandeur of the Australian setting obvious in the design. Although the Poster still displays to impressive effect, there are numerous amateur repairs including sellotape mends to the reverse (longest being 17") & various repairs obvious to the front of the Poster. This is clearly a Poster that Chantrell collected during his retirement. In his early years, Chantrell did not bother to keep either his original artwork or indeed finished Posters & it was only after meeting his future 2nd wife, Shirley (in 1961), that Chantrell began to assemble a more complete record of his work. During retirement, Chantrell visited Film Fairs & occasionally picked up "missing" examples of his work & this is one such acquisition.
