Chantrell's original painted artwork (21 1/2"x 29 1/2") for the Oscar winning anthropological documentary "The Sky Above, The Mud Below" (1961), the artwork signed by the artist. The artwork consits of a painted black background with gouache painted card artwork of the tribesmen on the left superimposed. In addition Chantrell has hand-painted the title script. Everything laid to "Colyer & Southey" artboard. To the reverse of the board is evidence of Chantrell's paint mixing. The artwork is protected by two overlay paper sheets.
