More about this item:

An important & scarce poster. Important because, this little-known film encompassed a gamut of British comedy talent, spanning established stalwarts such as Arthur Lowe, Ronald Fraser & Ronnie Corbett, with the "New Wave" of British comedy in the form of Peter Cook. The film was scripted not only by Cook but future "Pythons" John Cleese & Graham Chapman & produced by Cook's "That Was The Week That Was" collaborator, David Frost. Inspite of these impressive credentials, this intelligent political satire enjoyed only a limited run & the print run was consequently small, making this a difficult poster to track down. Chantrell also memorably illustrated Peter Cook on the 1967 poster for "Bedazzled", shown here by way of contast (image courtesy of www.fiskenposter.com).

The poster here is a rare proof copy, having a single faint vertical fold-line only but having escaped the normal machine-folding associated with Quads of this period. There are slight markings to the corners but otherwise the poster is in fine condition.
