Finished Chantrell Quad video cover artwork (19"x 30") for "The Jungle Book" (1942), this for a 1990's video release.
This is a particularly large piece of Chantrell artwork & although a later career piece, is packed with intricate detail, colour & dynamism with an almost photographic impression of the star, Sabu. However, everything here is painted artwork.
The artwork is mostly gouache applied to "Daler" artboard, the title script being a hand-painted card paste-on. There is a tracing paper overlay.
