A great piece for any fan of gangster films, here is Chantrell's prototype art for "The FBI Story" (1959). One of the earlier pieces of Chantrell artwork that we can offer. Chantrell employs black outlining around the main character, a technique he commonly used at this time.

The artwok is applied to artboard (14"x 21" max) & though only a "rough", is finished to a high degree, the James Stewart likeness & the bullet pockmarked auto, being particularly nice. The artwork is protected with a tracing paper overlay.
