Original prototype painted artwork (15 1/2"x 21 1/2") for the Quad poster for the Robert Mitchum WWII drama "The Enemy Below" (1957). This is a "highly finished" piece as demonstrated by comparison with the printed Quad poster.
The artwork is laid to artboard & is a mixture of watecolour, gouache & charcoal marking. A fine piece of 1950's original Chantrell artwork.
