More about this item:

Following the success of "One Million Years BC", Hammer looked to capitalise with a follow-up that finally emerged in 1968 as "Slave Girls". Prior to this, the film enjoyed working titles of "Slave Girls of the White Rhino" & "Prehistoric Women". Here is Chantrell's prototype "artwork" (15 3/4"x 21") for "Prehistoric Women". This is a colour print taken from the original artwork that has been mounted onto artboard & subsequently hand-tinted by Chantrell (particularly the girls hair, bikini & some vegetation). This was used in the production process & being pre-photoshop, was a means by which Chantrell could refine & embellish his original design without constantly having to re-paint in full.

We also show a further photographic image of another artwork variation & an image of the single colour Quad which finally was issued (Hammer presumably saving money on the advertising budget - this image from the Marcus Hreard book "The Hammer Vaults").

NB. Due to the size of this item a separate shipping quote will be required.
