More about this item:

A relatively scarce Western title, the film being by the great John Ford.  The film was basically a court room drama with action flashbacks.  By featuring black actor Woody Stode as Sgt Rutledge, a man facing a court martial over the rape & murder of a white woman, the film picked up on highly sensitive Civil Rights issues in 1960's America.  Like the majority of Chantrell's Posters for Western genre films, the colour scheme was dominantly red & yellow.  This Poster has some old amateur attempts at restoration to the rim & several Conservation repairs to the reverse, the longest being a 7" tear from the right hand side.  Nonetheless, the Poster still displays very well.
