A good early example of Chantrell's painted Quad poster illustrations. Chantrell's ability to conjure facial images with an almost photographic quality comes to the fore here. The depiction of the young Richard Burton is particularly fine. The quality of Chantrell's work is possibly sometimes taken for granted but if one compares his Quad with the corresponding US 1-Sheet poster, as below (image courtesy of emovieposter.com), Chantrell's pre-eminence is clear.

The poster has been trimmed to 28"x 37", there is a piece of the top left corner missing & some water damage to the rim. The poster has been priced in accordance with condition.
