Royal Flash Chantrell Finished Quad Artwork 1975

The finished artwork for Chantrell's Quad poster design for "Royal Flash" (1975), the historical romp starring the likes of Malcolm McDowell, Alan Bates, Britt Ekland, Oliver Reed etc. This is a large piece (22"x 29") & is a good example of Chantrell's artistry (ie, the folds in the Union Jack) & sense of humour. The artwork is gouache & has been applied directly to the Legion artboard & onto cut-out portraits which have been affixed. The piece is complete but for a small portion of printed credits text which is missing. An interesting annotation to the cover sheet seems to indicate the numbers of trimmed posters required by the London Transport Executive & Brtish Transport Advertising.
