A lovely piece of finished original painted artwork (21"x 27") for this 1981 film "The Rise and Fall of Idi Amin". Chantrell's characteristic use of colour is very evident, conjuring an image redolent with a sense of terror & violence. However, it is Chantrell's depiction of Idi Amin which is so spectacular, the illustration capturing the barely suppressed lunacy of this murderous African dictator. A fine example of Chantrell'sc artistry. We show the printed Quad poster for comparison (the script would have been added onto an acetate overlay at the end of the process).
