On The Buses Chantrell Hammer Artwork Photo 1971

An original large colour photo (13 1/2"x 17 3/4") of Chantrell's artwork for a promotional flyer for Hammer's "On The Buses" (1971).

Chantrell is known as Hammer's UK poster artist of choice 1965-74 but during this period, Hammer employed Chantrell in two other roles. One was to create exciting concept artwork for planned films which was used in financing pitches to try & entice financiers to fund future film projects (we have some examples on this site ie, "Stones of Evil"). Hammer also used Chantrell to produce marketing flyers etc, to assist their pre-production marketing campaigns, such as this for "On The Buses" (1971).

Putzu was commissioned to produce a Quad poster for "On The Buses" but this artwork photo is by Chantrell (note his signature bottom left corner) & was kept by Chantrell for reference.

There are a few creases/nicks & pin-holes to corners but this is a rare piece of Chantrell/Hammer memorabilia.
