Chantrell's finished painted artwork for trhis double-bill, twinning "The Night the Lights Went Out In Georgia" (1981) with "How To Beat The High Cost of Living" (1980). The artwork has been applied to artboard (21"x 27") & an acetate overlay carries the text. Though clearly based on the corresponding US 1-Sheet movie poster designs (see below courtesy of emovieposter.com), Chantrell delivers a composition which heightens the sense of sex & fun.

"The Night The Lights Went Out..." was a drama most notable for the presence of Mark Hamill, who was then at the peak of his "Star Wars" fame. "How To Beat.." co-starred Jessica Lange in her 3rd only film... she was to hit the big time in her next film, starring alongside Jack Nicholson in "The Postman Always Rings Twice".
