Nana Chantrell Artwork 1982

This is the original Chantrell artwork (20"x 26 1/2") for this Cannon sex film released in 1982 (the film co-starring Mary Rice-Davies of "Profumo" fame). As the comparison with the Quad poster below (image courtesy of www.moviepostermem.com) shows, this is effectively the finished artwork. Chantrell's designs for the sex films which were so popular in the 70's & early 80's were often fairly brazen but here he adopts a more restrained style but still creates an image which though subtle is sexy. Chantrell has signed the piece to the bottom left rim. There is a slight mark on the title on the acetate overlay but the artwork underneath is pristine. Chantrell was paid a total of £370 for the roughs & finished art for "Nana". The print run for the Quad was 1,000 only (W).
