UK Quad poster for the political drama "Madison Avenue" (1961).
Great use of colour & an inventive title design on this poster (the title on one road sign & the film's tag-lie carried on the other). During the 50's & early 60's Chantrell frequently emboldened the outlines of key characters & this poster provides a good example of this technique. Chantrell was clearly happy with this composition as this particular poster was framed in his home.
Poster has only a single vertical foldline. Has two 2" conservation tape repairs to left side, various small edge nicks & tiny slither of paper loss to lower left rim. A dramatic piece of Chantrell poster design & a scarce Quad title too.
