The 2nd of 2 prototype artwork designs (19”x 24”) Chantrell created for this 1966 comedy adventure. This conceptual design plays on the name of the film title “Kaleidoscope”. The painted artborad has had a series of photographic images pasted on top & Chantrell has hand cut & painted the individual letters of the title which have also been superimposed. A great piece of typical 1960’s design. We show both the alternative Chantrell artwork design & the finished Quad poster too (the poster image courtesy of http://www.moviepostermem.com). Neither of the Chantrell designs were printed, the Quad illustration being by American artist Bob Peak.
