Invitation To A Gunfighter Chantrell Video Art

Chantrell finished painted artwork (19 1/2"x 24" overall) for the video sleeve for "Invitation To a Gunfighter" (1964), the video release dating c' 1990's. The artwork presents a terrific image of Yul Brynner in deadly action. Interestingly, Chantrell extends the artwork (the gunfire) outside the boundary of the overall piece, a technique he occasionally used for his Quad poster compositions. Chantrell was happy with this piece as indicated by the presence of his signature on the bottom right border.

The artwork consists of gouache on watercolour paper affixed to "Daler" artboard with a paper overlay.
