Please note that this Poster has been cropped to 27"x 40". Chantrell frequently borrowed (ie, cut) pieces from previously completed artwork for new compositions but it is unclear why he cropped the Poster for this 1969 Crime Thriller. One possible reason might be that as an unfolded proof (there are some crease lines on the Poster but it has not been machine-folded) Chantrell might have disliked the credits display/fonts etc & may have been experimenting with a different style of presentation ?
