French Connection Chantrell Poster Artwork

One of 2 prototype pieces of artwork (16"x 21") which Chantrell produced for the critically acclaimed "The French Connection" in 1971. Unfortunately, neither design was to appear in printed form & instead a rather tame Quad (artist unknown) was used (image courtesy of www.moviepostermem.com). Given Chantrell's ability to conjure excitement with his images of cars flying through the air ie, 1968's "Bullitt" (image courtesy of www.moviepostermem.com), it is a real shame that for whatever reason, Chantrell's design was left unfinished.
