Scarce poster for this 1979 film about American slavery, starring Muhammed Ali in a rare straight acting role. Originally made as a TV movie, the film was given a limited run in UK cinemas 1979-80. Chantrell provides a colourful backdrop for Ali & Kristofferson, who are posed in dramatic fashion. Chantrell also cleverly incorporates an image of broken chains in the title design.
The print run for this poster was small & being an unfolded Chantrell proof copy, this poster is in excellent condition (one 1" conservation repair to top edge).
