Original Chantrell finished painted artwork (13 1/2" square) for the UK 4-Sheet poster for "Finian's Rainbow" (1968). The artwork shows the star of the film, Tommy Steele. The UK 4-Sheet poster is a rare format & would have been produced in tiny quantities (possibly only for the premiere). Chantrell obviously liked his portrayal of Tommy Steele & cut this out, mounted it on board & annotated a cover sheet. Comparison with the figure of Tommy Steele on the Quad poster shows slight differences but we have been unable to find an image of a UK 4-Sheet for comparison.
The artwork consists of a gouache painted figure cut-out applied to artboard with a cover sheet bearing Chantrell's handwritten details.
