The original painted artwork (20"x 29") for the Quad horror double-bill featuring "Doctor Maniac" (made in South Africa 1974) & "Whispers of Fear" (1976). This large-sized piece shows off some trademark Chantrell characteristics: the photographic likenesses achieved,  choreographed nudity (offending "bits" skilfully obscured), rapacious fangs & a sympathetic juxtaposition of the artwork for the two films. The artwork remains monochrome presumably due to a restricted budget, the final Quad probably bearing two different colour tints. Most of Chantrell's horror work was for Hammer & consequently surviving pieces are very sought after but as a non-Hammer piece of artwork this represents an excellent opportunity to acquire Chantrell "horror" art at a more modest price.
