Chantrell finished Quad artwork (24"x 31 3/4") for the Quad poster for "Digby The Biggest Dog In The World" (1973), the children's comedy-adventure starring Jim Dale, Angela Douglas, Spike Milligan & an old English sheepdog.

This is a typical piece of Chantrell artwork being both colourful, dynamic & incorporating a large graduated title text. Chantrell was a pioneer in this regard, often blending film titles into the overall composition of his artworks (here having firing tanks driving across the top of the "DIGBY" script). Chantrell was happy with this particular piece as not only did he sign the artwork but he had this framed & hanging in his home.

The artwork consists of gouache on card affixed to "Legion" artboard. The only non-painted piece of the composition are the strips of printed cast/credits lettering to the lower left.
