Death Rides A Horse Chantrell Video Artwork

Chantrell finished painted artwork (18 3/4"x 21") for the Lee Van Cleef western "Death Rides A Horse" (1967), used for the UK video release c' 1998, though Chantrell would have painted this in the very early 1990's. Interestingly Chantrell adopts the technique of extending the composition ouutside the "border", something he occasionally did with his earlier Quad designs too.

The artwork is gouache laid to artboard with tracing paper & card overlays & Chantrell's hand-written printing instruction to lower border. The painting has come away from the artboard but could be easily re-sealed.A fine example of Chantrell's later period artistry.
