Original Chantrell "finished" painted artwork (21"x 28") for the Quad poster for the British thriller "Deadly Strangers" (1975). Starring Hayley Mills & simon Ward, the film was about a young female hitchhiker & an escapee from a psychiatric hospital. Chantrell's clever design conveys a suitable sense of suspense & danger. The artwork is gouache on board with several gouache painted overlays & printed strip text, all affixed to artboard. There is slight "foxing" to the blue illustration to the left. A torn annotated paper overlay will also be included in the sale.
