A simple yet effective Chantrell design for this 1970 Hammer film. Although Chantrell produced prototype artwork (see photo of this below) which more accurately reflected the "Thriller" rather than "Horror" orientation of the film, a dripping blood design was preferred. Though Hammer were to make attempts to diversify their fare during the 1970's, the commercial appeal of Hammer's lurid horror franchise was often too obvious to overlook.
