After the success of "One Million Years BC", Hammer were keen to exploit the vein of prehistoric-glamour chic & "Creatures The World Forgot" eventually emerged in 1970. Chantrell was employed to create several pre-production designs & these show that Hammer struggled with the script, particularly whether the film was to be more horror or scifi slanted. This original large-sized photo (13"x 18") shows an image of early Chantrell prototype art which clearly extolls the horror element.... with lashings of gratuitous nudity too!
