The final version of Chantrell's artwork for the UK Quad Cinema Poster for "Cleopatra" went on sale at Auction at Christies on 1st Nov 2012, the buyer paying £9,100 including Buyer's premium & other fees (image courtesy of CHRISTIE'S IMAGES LTD. 2012).  The artwork ("watercolour, gouache and collage on board") measures 17 1/2"x 25 1/2" & has been signed by Chantrell.  The bottom right hand side was left blank for the insertion of the credits (we show the completed Quad Poster here for reference purposes).  A hugely iconic film & the first time an actress (in this case Elizabeth Taylor) was paid $1m for a role.  The artwork carried an estimate of £3,000-£5,000.
