Chantrell Zeppelin v Pterodactyls Hammer Print

Large print showing Chantrell's illustration for the pre-production flyer (11 1/2"x 14 7/8") for a propsed Hammer film "Zeppelin v Pterodactyls" (c' 1972-73).

As faithfully recounted in Marcus Hearn's "The Hammer Vault" (2011), the improbably titled "Zeppelin vs Pterodactyls" had been in gestation for several years as an animated feature (originally pitched as "The Stone Ring"). Chantrell was commissioned to produce artwork (c'1971-72) & flyers were produced to promote the film in an attempt to coral together enough finance to complete the project. However, funding was not forthcoming & the film ultimately un-made.

This print is believed to have been created by Chantrell at a later date c' late 1980's-early 90's.
