An unusual item, this being printed advertising mounted on black card (12"x 13" overall), promoting James Dean in "East of Eden" (1955), the piece being a bespoke item for the Warner cinema, Leicester Square. The use of the word "unforgettable", suggests this would have been for a re-release of the film after James Dean's demise in '55, probably of late 1950's-early 60's, vintage.
The design features Chantrell's "trademark" use of day-glo & an impressive pen & ink portrayal of the young superstar. Chantrell's printed signature appears at the bottom of the poster.
