Rare b/w photo (8"x 10") showing Chantrell's concept artwork for the Hammer horror film "The Satanic Rites of Dracula" (1973).

Although the design matches that of the printed Quad, the "rough" illustration indicates this is a photo of a preliminary artwork. Also the jokey "Drac's Back" text to the upper left was revised, the "Hammer Film Production" upper centre does not appear on the Quad & the cast/credits text to the lower border was re-configured on the finished poster. An interesting piece which shows something of the process of developing an idea to creation of the final poster.
