Chantrell finished artwork (17 1/2"x 23 1/4") for the Quad poster for "David Copperfield" (1969) (see the attached image courtesy of emovieposter for comparison).

Chantrell delivers lovely images of the two leads, Susan Hampshire and Robin Phillips, together with 12 other vignette illustrations including Richard Attenborough, Edith Evans, Ron Moody, Laurence Olivier, Michael Redgerave, Ralph Richardson etc.

Unlike the majority of Chantrell's poster artworks (painted in gouache), this one is executed in pastels with pen & ink detail. Artwork laid to artboard with an Allardyce Palmer protective card overlay.

Due to the size of this piece a supplementary P&P charge will be required for all buyers though it may also be collected by appointment.
