Chantrell painted b/w reference photo (7 1/2"x 9") relating to the Bond comedy spoof "Carry On Spying" (1964).
Chantrell was provided with various reference materials prior to working on his poster commissions & he would use this material for other associated marketing tasks too. In this case he has highlighted one of the gun-totting female agents with a white surround & added painted highlights (enhancements) to her too. There is also an annotation to the reverse so presumably, this element of the photo was destined for a design Chantrell was working on. Nice to find a reference still with an element of Chantrell "artwork" too!
