When Chantrell re-joined the advertising agency Bateman Artists after his demob in 1946, he returned to his work providing architectural & technical illustrations & it was only gradually into the 1950's that Chantrell's cinema poster artwork came to predominate. Presented here are two early 1950's examples of Chantrell advertising illustration for the motor industry, "Smiths Radiomobile" being a foldout brochure for car radios, the 2nd piece being Show literature on behalf of bus manufacturer, Metropolitan-Cammell-Weymann Ltd.
