Bad Man's River Chantrell Quad Artwork 1971

Original Chantrell finished painted artwork (20 1/2"x 27 1/4") for the Quad poster for "Bad Man's River" (1971). This is a very typical piece of Chantrell poster artwork, colourful, dynamic with excellent images of the leads & an inventive title script too. Chantrell obviously enjoyed this piece as not only did he sign it but he had it framed in his home.

The artwork is pictured still held in a black card mount but this will be removed for transit. The artwork is gouache on artboard. Everything is painted except the text, the majority of which is in the form of pre-printed strips or cut-outs which have been applied over the artwork. Please note, there is a mark (pencil?) running across the faces of Lee Van Cleef & Gina Lollobrigida. This could be restored but appears not to have bothered Chantrell as he had the painting framed & displayed with this mark.
