633 Squadron Chantrell Video Artwork

The UK Quad poster for "633 Squadron" was NOT by Chantrell but nonetheless he produced a terrific piece of work for the 1980's VHS video cover & this is his original painted artwork (15"x 17" overall). Chantrell was particularly good at depicting action scenes & this is no exception, the use of colour, explosions & the swooping Mosquito creating a great lure. In typical fashion, the design deliberately extends beyond the strict boundaries of the composition (this being something of a "trademark" Chantrell device). Chantrell's written instructions to the printer are carried along the bottom rim. The painted artwork is on paper laid to artboard.

NB. There is some slight water damage to this piece to the bottom left rim, resulting in very slight staining to the lower 1 1/2" of the painted artwork. This is not obtrusive.
