Five photos (3 1/2"x 4 1/2") showing Tom Chantrell & his wife Shirley Chantrell. These staged photos were used as prompts by Chantrell for his design of the Quad poster for the 1985 sexploitation film "Emanuelle & Francoise". The photos show the extent to which Chantrell would go to ensure authenticity in his work. We have other cases where Chantrell visited zoos, farms, museums etc, in order to take photos to be used as reference for his poster designs. Four of the images show Shirley with paint brush poised & one shows Chantrell (this slightly creased) bound with chains. A glance at the finished Quad (image courtesy of
